IRA-Qualified Charitable Distributions

Maximize Giving for Vulnerable Children

A qualified charitable distribution (QCD) allows individuals who are 70½ years old or older to donate up to $111,000 total each year to LeSEA Global Feed The Hungry directly from a taxable IRA (indexed for 2026). Spouses can each donate $111,000 QCD from their own respective IRAs ($222,000 total).

Consult with your financial advisor on the potential tax savings for your unique circumstances.

At age 73 years and older, you can make a qualified charitable distribution (QCD) directly from your IRA to Feed The Hungry to satisfy all (or a portion) of your required minimum distribution (RMD).

  • You can also benefit if you have a 401(k) or a 403(b), but you must first convert the account into an IRA rollover. In this particular circumstance, consult with your financial advisor about making this rollover at least the year prior to when your first required minimum distribution (RMD) is due or you may incur taxes on the distribution.

LeSEA Global Feed The Hungry’s tax I.D. number is 32-0053249. Our mailable address is 530 E. Ireland Road, South Bend, Indiana 46614.
