How does it feel when even playgrounds are under attack?
Nearly 5 years into the war, the Ukrainian people are still standing. But the exhaustion is palpable. There’s often nowhere to rest, nowhere to feel safe. Recent strikes hit a kindergarten playground, an 11th century cathedral, and nearly destroyed a school bus.
Children are so accustomed to the terror, so deeply traumatized by it, that one mother said they don’t cry anymore.
Your kindness in giving meals and Gospel hope makes a difference. As he works to get critical aid to suffering Ukrainians, Pastor Andriy sees it every day: “Many people in our area have lost their homes and nearly everything they owned. Your support brings them hope, encouragement, and practical help in a very difficult time.
“Thank you all for your generosity, love, and faithfulness.”
Thank-You Messages from Ukraine!
This is a long war. It means a lot that you persevere in giving prayers, food, and hope. Your partnership enables faithful believers to deliver meals and other aid to the most vulnerable—especially the elderly, the disabled, women, and children.
That often means 12-hour drives on dangerous roads.
Treks up multiple flights of stairs, carrying heavy loads.
Long days and cold nights—trying to track and avoid missile strikes and drones.
But the response from those in need makes every step worth it. Even in their hurt, their hearts are full of gratitude. Your care means the world to them.
“I cannot go outside, and you bringing [the food] here means that I wasn’t forgotten.”
“I have nothing else. Thank God for you!”
Pastor Alex, serving in Ukraine, says, “It felt like a small thing to give them a box of food, but their joy in receiving it was intense.”
Thank you for giving that joy.
A meal says, “You are not alone.”
So many Ukrainians have lost so much. Their homes. Their sons and husbands. Their security. Imagine going from a full pantry with a market just a quick walk away, to a bombed city and empty kitchen where you’re counting every bean.
The physical damage is great. When coupled with the emotional hurt, it can be overwhelming.
That’s why Feed The Hungry teams make it a priority to not just drop off food at the curb and leave, but to share love with each step.
That means teams personally deliver the food you give with prayer and hugs. They listen to people who desperately need someone to share their burdens. They share Gospel hope.
This kind of care is a powerful reminder that God sees their hurt and remains with them.
You give a “tangible expression of God’s care for us.”
With so many in need, things are moving fast. But in the middle of a recent aid distribution, Pastor Andriy stopped to share a message with the people who made the help possible:
“On behalf of our church in [our city] I want to thank you sincerely. The Lord is our firm foundation and strength, and we see your support as a tangible expression of His care for us.”
You are among those he’s thanking. Your support is a tangible expression of God’s care. And it’s still so needed.
The world’s attention has begun to fade. Your compassion matters more than ever. Just $1 feeds 5 suffering people . . . and reminds them they are not forgotten.
Please, comfort the war-weary. Send meals and hope.
